Food Distribution Program

"Though he had commanded the clouds from above,
and opened the doors of heaven, [24] And had rained
down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of
the corn of heaven."

                                                                         Psalm 78:23-24

The Church operates an extensive Food Distribution Program with a Soup Kitchen on its premises.

High quality food is given to approximately 77,061 persons annually through the New Open Door's donations and to about 130,000 persons supported by Federal Assistance and community donations. Annually, about 400 deliveries of food is made to sick and shut-in persons. The Soup Kitchen weekly feeds about 579 persons with nutritious hot meals.

The staff is composed of both church members and volunteers from the community. Food is distributed two (2) times weekly at convenient hours year round.

Other Services

Open Door's Missionary Department spreads the Good News of the Gospel of Jesus Christ by visiting those who are sick, homebound, or in hospitals, institutions, and shelters.

Also, complementing the wide variety of services provided by the Church, Open Door hosts discussion and fellowship groups: Men's and Women's fellowship groups. These are two separate groups organized to provide an atmosphere for men and women to discuss everyday living problems, such as jobs, family problems, substance abuse, relationships and other issues in a supportive environment. Participants can fellowship in these groups while helping each other as they look for both natural and spiritual answers to questions.

Men's Followship: Wednesday: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Women's Fellowship: Friday: 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

Open Door Mission Outreach feeds people, not considering their race, creed, color or
national origin. God supplies the food and Open Door is only an agent, not the owner of it.
